III. OSS and SI Deploy to Train DRO on ENFORCE
development corporation based in Reston VA, to provide a blended training solution for the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) Division. ENFORCE, a critical detention and removal automated case management system that is still being developed, will replace DRO’s existing Deportable Alien Control System (DACS) in CY 08. OSS and SI-International will provide mission critical training to DRO personnel, concentrating its immediate efforts on the booking, detention and removal modules of ENFORCE. This training solution will consist of the following:
Training Awareness - materials and classroom activities will be provided to promote and advertise the benefits of the ENFORCE Alien Removal Module (EARM). These activities include live meetings with DRO management, officer and support staff, development of training awareness posters and other marketing materials, promotional DVD videos and training animations.
Classroom Instruction and Support - includes providing “Help Desk” training, DRO Field Office Train-the-Trainer programs, end-user training for officers and support personnel, and HQ training for management and operational staff. Omega will deploy ten retired special agents, deportation officers and inspectors to supplement SI instructors throughout CONUS during the Winter and Spring of 2008.
Development of paper and electronic-based training materials – these materials consist of a variety of items, to include: a training plan; instructor guides; user manual; training participant workbooks; PowerPoint presentations; and evaluation reports. In addition, end users will have access to electronic materials, including web-based training, help functions, video via the web, and a training support web site.
System Deployment Support - The OSS/SI-International Team will provide complete system deployment support consisting of a full program communications plan, “Tiger Team” deployment support, and on-site support during the initial pilot programs as designated by DRO HQ.
